We
are
free to grow up and move on from religious and carnal understandings
that bound
us as children.
Jesus
declares, “If
any man will do his will, he shall know
of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of
myself,” John 7:17.
If
anyone wills to do His will,
or if any one desires to practice his will, he will discern truth.
“Therefore
leaving the principles
of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying
again the
foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of
the
doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection
of the dead,
and of eternal
judgment.
And
this will we do, if God
permit,” Hebrew 6:1, 2, 3.
Let
us leave the first principles
and the former understandings.
Let us leave, ( ἀφίημι
) send away, let go,
disregard, omit, neglect,
keep no longer, depart from, abandon our former understandings and go
on to
Perfection. If
our hearts desire is sincere
the doctrines and understanding we have, as weak and limiting as they
might be,
can be part of the path to bring us to our Father.
I
wish you blessing on your
journey,
Going
on to perfection,
URfriend,
Dean Johnson
