A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.  Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all [who are] in the house.” Matthew 5:14-15. Thomas places these two thoughts together in saying 32 and 33.

In the Bridal Chamber is concealed the great secret. "It is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret," Ephesians 5:12, 32. Nevertheless, "I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ," Romans 15:29.


Jesus said, "Many are standing at the door, but it is the solitary who will enter the bridal chamber," (75). It is those who are persecuted within themselves, those who have bound the hands of the strong man, that enter in, (35,68-70,75). It is for those who have purchased the pearl, (76, Matthew 13:46). To the laborers sent out into the harvest the bright light of illumination reveals the Christ within, (33, 73, 75, 77). Jesus says, "It is I who am the light which is above them all. It is I who am the all. From me did the all come forth, and unto me did the all extend, (77.) All things are from him, through him, and to him. The End is the same as the Beginning, (18). The Alpha and the Omega are one and the same, Revelation 22:13. Christ fills, completes and becomes all things. This is the great mystery.

There is a Blazing Fire and a Bright Light when the Mother and Father are joined together in the Bridal Chamber. This marriage happens on every level of reality. The laborers sent out into the harvest field, and those who have prepared themselves, enter into the bridal chamber to behold this union.

There is a gold wedding ring. The serpent is consuming the body. 

There is a marriage supper. "Let the oxen eat." (102). God is a man-eater,  (Philip).  All things are gathered in One, making all things new, Ephesians 1:10,  Revelations 21:5.  Two are made One. There is a reconciliation of all things, Colossians 1:20. There is a transubstantiation. Christ is come in the flesh completing all things.  Jesus said, "I myself shall lead her in order to make her male, " (114),  The above is as the below. The female is made male. The All is changed. There is a new man: A Perfect Man.


After the wedding "the bridegroom leaves the bridal chamber." In the Bridal Chamber alignment, "When the bridegroom leaves the bridal chamber" corresponds to "Now the sower went out, took a handful (of seeds), and scattered them," (Bridal chamber alignments 23-26). Now, if there is a time to fast and pray, it is in the harvest field, where the temptations are large, and the needs are many. Jesus said, "The harvest is great but the laborers are few. Beseech the Lord, therefore, to send out laborers to the harvest," (73).

One of the discoveries of the bridal chamber is that the wise fisherman chooses the large mature fish, (8). In the Bridal chamber alignment this corresponds to "He who knows the father and the mother" Such a one is called the son of a harlot because of the prior infidelity of the mother, (105). The pre-existent Sophia Joining With Christ in the Bridal Chamber is a spiritual marriage symbolic of this union on every level of realty. This is spiritual joining with spiritual, and is only for the mature, 1 Corinthians 2:13.

There is a Complete Reunification and an Ultimate Reconciliation of the All that is seen in the Bridal Chamber. This is the great mystery that is revealed to those who are worthy, (62).
There are three symbols that have brought the initiate to this realization.
